Background of the Study

Social class plays a significant role in shaping political participation and influence, often affecting women differently based on their socioeconomic status. In Kano Municipal LGA, women from different social classes experience varying degrees of political influence and access to decision-making platforms. Women from higher social classes may have more access to resources, networks, and political capital, while those from lower social classes may face greater barriers in participating in political processes. This study will explore how social class impacts women’s political influence in Kano Municipal.

1.2 Statement of the Problem

The intersection of social class and gender often determines women’s political engagement and influence. In Kano Municipal, women’s participation in politics may be influenced by their social class, with women from lower social classes facing more obstacles in accessing political power. This study aims to examine the relationship between social class and women’s political influence in Kano Municipal.

1.6 Significance of the Study
